Steve & Linda Rogers –
TIMSHELL FARM, in Texas, Arizona and New Mexico
Welcome to Timshell – where Steve and I live and raise our puppies. Houses above are in Texas, Arizona and now in New Mexico. Top left photo is the home that was hand-built by Steve in 2002. We lived there until 2011 when we moved to the house (top, right) in the high mountains of Arizona in Happy Jack. The third photo is our home in New Mexico, not far from Albuquerque. Our dogs spend their days lounging under the tall pines with a cool breeze blowing, and sleep in specially-designed barns constructed by Steve, in total comfort. We love our home, each other, our dogs and puppies.
Our Past
Steve owned and operated a successful, high-volume transmission specialty repair shop in Boulder, Colorado for 8 years, AAA Boulder Transmissions, and was voted Mechanic of the Year by Boulder residents in 1985. He started and operated several businesses; and traveled across the U.S. as a Project Manager for environmental engineering companies on major, multi-million-dollar remediation projects. In 1998 we started Timshell Farm in central Texas. Steve established an organic pecan orchard, where we also hand-raised hundreds of Monarch butterflies for commercial releases every week. Steve built and managed our facility for raising healthy, happy puppies – our own specialty triple cross breeds. Steve built our lovely pole-barn house on the farm, having never built anything besides a set of bookshelves! This home was built by hand, including all plumbing, wiring, air conditioning, carpentry, the works! Photo above, left. House was built with 90% recycled materials. Photo above right is our home in Happy Jack, Arizona, in Happy Jack. In the past, I worked as a technical editor and document manager for engineering firms; worked in the New Mexico State Senate and State Supreme Court; and co-authored butterfly breeding manuals with Nigel Venters and Paul Chesterfield. I enjoyed serving on the Board of Directors for the International Butterfly Breeders Association for several years. I love working with Steve, raising puppies and working with therapy dog organizations. We have a home in the country now, near Albuquerque, New Mexico, a beautiful new facility for our dogs. We are a business and our products are professional butterfly breeding manuals, online workshops, and consulting services.
