Letters from Our Customers

Dusty: Owned by Sally B., Texas Linda,

Just wanted to know how things are going? It's hard to believe that my baby will be one in a few weeks. He's so funny he just can not get it in his head he is a BIG dog he thinks he is a westie. He acts like them and has even picked up their traits. He chases squirrels, digs for moles which really isn't a bad thing but his holes are alot bigger than the others. When he stands on his hind legs and puts his paws on my shoulders he is taller than I am.

The vet said he was a perfect pup, not fat but just lean. You did a great job in breeding that litter, he said. He did tell me that he sure hated to fix him as he wanted me to breed him with his sisters dog, I told him I knew of a wonderful breeder and would be glad to give him your name and phone # but I was not going to take any chances with Dusty. He said he understood but that Dusty was a beautiful dog. So I thought that would make you feel good ! Any ways just wanted to let you know your baby is doing great and that you have done a wonderful job. I wishes that the westie breeder would have done as good a job as you did but I love them anyway. Will talk to you later, Sally

StephenLinda,

I apologize for sending pictures so late! Stephen has been so much fun and very entertaining! He finally got hair and lost his fur 2 weeks ago. He loves our older dog, Jack, and one of them is generally chewing on the other most of the time. They wrestle, snuggle, and chase each other all over the house! They exhibit a true big brother-little brother relationship!

StephenStephen was introduced to our nephew who is 2 yrs. and loved him. He also met a dog yesterday and did very well. We are pretty sure that he is so comfortable with Jack, that he will be fine with other dogs. So, his socialization seems to be going well.

StephenI took him to work with me several weeks ago for about an hour, and he walked in like he owned the place and wasn't afraid of anyone or anything! He is such an explorer that I had to keep him on a leash. He did take a cue from his older brother and settled down in my office for about 10 minutes!!

Again, thanks for all your hard work....Stephen is a perfect Golden!

We picked up Sedona in mid-October when she was around 6 weeks old. At the time she was 4 1/2 pounds, healthy and was cute as a button. Immediately she fell in love with our 5 year old cat Sonny (Although I can't say Sonny felt the same towards her).

The environment she's currently in is a surburban one, around 1500 square feet that she shares with Sonny, we have 1/2 acre yard so she has plenty of space to run around, only barks when she wants you to play with her and has been great around people...sometimes a little too friendly. Sedona was immediately housetrained, even at 6 weeks old. At night when she had to use the restroom she would howl, as she got older and could walk normal she would move the window blinds next to the door to tell us she needed to go outside...and this was at 6-12 weeks! Every book we read said it takes a year to housetrain, we were fortunate to have her there at 2 months.

She's been easy to walk, even our housesitter is impressed by how easy she was to walk, responds well to commands and as mentioned earlier, is too friendly so we're always stopping so that kids can pet her. When she does get older we're going to sign her up to visit retirement communities so that she can brighten up their days just like she does ours.

We enjoyed looking at both of Sedona's parents, they looked healthy and well taken care of. Gave a reassurance for Sedonna that she comes from good genes and it let us know how she would be when she gets full grown.

As far as the AKC paperwork, we did have a problem, but that was on AKC's side, otherwise it was a breeze. As far as Mrs. Rogers, I'd get another dog from her, anyone who could put up with the many questions and concerns I raised has to be someone to trust. In fact I may be looking to get a golden doodle sometime later in the year.

Finishing, I would highly reccomend Mrs. Rogers and any golden retrievers she breeds. Except for Sonny, noone here is unhappy that she's around :)

Reference on Linda and Steve Rogers of Timshell Farm and their Golden Retrievers.

To Whom it May Concern:

We found the Rogers to be professional and friendly breeders of exceptional Golden Retrievers. Their facilities were clean, and their dogs were well taken care of. The dogs were groomed, appeared healthy, and had lots of outdoor space for exercise.

We purchased a female puppy, Kate, from Timshell Farm in December 2002. Our puppy was in excellent health and guaranteed with a 1-year health guarantee provided by the Rogers. Upon pickup of Kate, the AKC papers were in order, and she was current on her immunizations and wormed. At 5 months of age, Kate is turning into a gorgeous, smart family companion. Thank you.

Dear Linda and Steve,

Thank you so much for your hard work to produce such fine puppies. The female we bought from you a year ago is an absolute delight. She is beautiful, really strong and healthy. She captured our hearts the first hour we had her! "Chica" was easy to housetrain and has always loved to go on morning runs with me. We love her so much and think often of the day we bought her from you as one of those "really good days" in our life. Just thought you might like to hear how she's getting on and how happy we are with her.

Sincerely,
Cathy C.

Hello Timshell Farmers,

I am write to you and tell you how our male doggy is doing that we bought from you last year. He is the darker color dog so we named him Big Red and also that is my favorite soda. I love him a lot and he waits for me to come home from school and we play then at night Red sleeps with me but he is supposed to be on the floor. I call him to get in the bed when its just me and him. Red will chase the ball for a long time and I get tired before he does. My mom and dad say he is mine but they play with him too. I will bring him to see you some day in the summer. Bye, Jeremy T.

My wife and I have had our little fur-ball, Ella for 6 months now and she has been a absolute delight and joy for our family! We found Steve and Linda's information from their great website and contacted them about any upcoming litters. The Rogers were great in responding quickly to our request and keeping us informed about the litters. We went out to visit them and to select our little Ella to be. Steve and Linda were very welcoming and accommodating throughout the process.

We tried to do as much research as possible before selecting our puppy, and we came with a long list of questions that we wanted to ask the Rogers. Every question we had was answered, and Linda went out of her way to show us X-Rays and health history of the Mom and Dad dogs. We felt very comfortable throughout the process, and knew we'd be getting a little one who had all the makings of a great dog! Their kennel was very clean, and there was plenty of room for the dogs to run around, plus a heated barn- I know they had it really good out there!

Our golden retriever came from the Rogers in November of 2002, and she had all of her immunizations and had been wormed when we got her. Ella, has successfully completed her Puppy Kindergarten class with flying colors, and she certainly was everyone's favorite dog! The Rogers might as well be breeding Ivy League dogs because our puppy is super smart, almost too smart sometimes! She has been very heathy and has a beautiful light golden coat, which she is constantly complimented for, and she is now getting a bit "full of herself" because of it!

We work for a ministry which works with kids in high school and junior high and she is everyone's favorites. We literally have kids stopping by to see us almost daily and to play with Ella. She has been a great joy for us, and we would highly recommend the Rogers!
