Specialty Cross-Breeds: Cava-Poo-Chon

I have wanted to tell you what a loving and devoted friend Bodhi has become. He is sweet and cuddly so much of the time. Of course, he is with me almost every minute of every day (the exception being for grocery shopping), and usually spends music lesson time on my lap. We walk for at least an hour every evening, and just yesterday went for a bicycle ride together, he in a doggie backpack! "Bo-bo" is very confident in general and nothing seems to phase him - except for dogs and people he thinks are scary! His favorite activity, when I have time to take him before it gets dark, is a small dog meetup near my house. Lots of lively companions there, including Deborah L and her Timshell Cavapoo, Richie!  In a word, I couldn't love him more and am so glad that I stretched myself to bring him into my life so soon after Sasha and Misha had died (every time I speak of them, the grief arises anew...). All my students love Bodhi too. Here is the special boy. I adore him!

I just wanted to share a quick update on Theo. He is now 16 weeks old and weighs 8.6 pounds—and he is truly the sweetest puppy. I am completely in love with this little guy! Theo is incredibly smart and already knows sit, down, touch, and come. We are currently working on “stay,” and he absolutely loves training. He gets so excited because he really wants to please, which makes it such a joy to work with him. One of the most special things about Theo—besides looking exactly like a little teddy bear—is how friendly he is. He genuinely loves everyone! On walks, he wants to greet every person and dog he sees, no matter the size. He even gets a bit disappointed when someone passes by without saying hello. And what’s especially heartwarming is how much he loves children—he hears kids playing and runs right over, showering them with affection. It’s clear how wonderful it is that he was raised around Andrew’s grandchildren. Theo has become such a loving and constant companion. He goes everywhere with me—the eye doctor, golf lessons, lunch outings—you name it. We’re planning to travel soon so he can meet Fogo, and I’ll be sure to send pictures when they do! Thank you so much for bringing Theo into my life. He has truly made me so much happier.

Blix (now “Hobbes”) is doing great and has settled in wonderfully. I absolutely adore him — he’s such a sweet, funny little guy and has a ton of personality. We’ve been keeping busy giving him lots of experiences and getting him out into the world. He’s already been to the beach a few times (he loves digging in the sand), spends a lot of time hanging out on the porch in the sun, and is very happy following me around the house. Hobbes is extremely affectionate and loves a good couch cuddle, but he’s also very curious and confident exploring new places. I feel so lucky to have him.

Hello, I just wanted to give you an update on wonderful Gracie. She was born 1 year ago today and arrived at our house in Florida 8 weeks later. She is so sweet and loving, although once in awhile she does get the zoomies, but she is awesome. Before we decided to get a new puppy we had a family member in our household diagnosed with a very horrible disease. It was very tough and hard to deal with. I felt a new puppy would help after losing our sweet Chloe only a few months before. I wasn’t exactly sure it was the best idea but I had a hunch. Ever since Gracie’s arrival our lives have changed so much for the better. She was exactly what our family needed and couldn’t be a better dog. She is so loving, playful, energetic, funny, and so much more. Thank you for bringing her into our lives.
