Over the years, Timshell has been home in several remarkable places: the great plains of Texas, the high mountain forests of Arizona, and now we’ve moved to beautiful Ohio!
Steve hand-built many of the homes and facilities where the dogs lived, including a pole-barn house constructed largely from recycled materials and custom-designed barns created specifically for canine comfort. Across every location, the environment remained the same in spirit: dogs raised with intention, fresh air, space to play, and daily human interaction. Puppies spent their days under tall pines and open skies, and their nights in warm, thoughtfully designed spaces.
Linda brought a background in technical editing, public service, and animal advocacy to the farm. Together, Steve and Linda built Timshell Farm on the belief that breeding should always be ethical, limited, and deeply personal.
With the guidance of reproductive veterinarians, the program gradually evolved into carefully planned specialty crossbreeds.
Every parent dog is health-tested and cleared for genetic conditions, including heart, eye, patella, and breed-specific concerns, before being included in the breeding program. Puppies are raised for:
We intentionally raise a limited number of puppies each year, allowing us to focus on quality, early socialization, and ensuring puppies find the right family for them.
This breed was created in response to families seeking a small, affectionate companion suitable for allergies, travel, and family life.
Cava-Poo-Chons are known for their sweet “teddy bear” faces, soft coats, and adaptable personalities. Depending on lineage, they typically mature between 15-20 pounds and do exceptionally well with children.

Reservation lists often fill out months in advance, and families are encouraged to plan ahead. Some families visit the farm to select their puppy at eight weeks of age, while others rely on close collaboration and regular updates to ensure the perfect match.
Timshell Farm is now proudly operated by Marcus And Emily and their young family, who are committed to carrying forward Steve and Linda’s values with care and integrity.
Andrew continues the tradition of:
Puppies are now raised in Ohio and can be hand-delivered to families across the United States, ensuring a smooth, safe transition from farm to home.
That promise still guides Timshell Farm today.
Whether you’re welcoming your first puppy or adding to a growing family, we are honored to be part of that journey – and we look forward to helping you find a companion who truly belongs with you.
