OH MY! Our new baby is amazing. He is so sweet with an amazing disposition. Shelby immediately took to him and they are already great friends. I can't thank you enough for this wonderful addition to our family. We love him and feel so blessed. From day one he has slept all night in his crate and has had only two or three accidents in the house. As soon as we take him outside he knows what to do. Shelby has helped us with the house training. He is so sweet and SO smart. I can't wait to send updates. His first vet visit is Monday. I will send stats as far as weight, etc.... After his next round of shots I can feel free to make his rounds around the neighborhood. I know that everyone is going to fall in love with this breed. My husband is traveling this week but as soon as he gets home we will send pictures. I have taken a ton but I am a computer dummy when it comes to photos.

Hi, Linda! Here is the first update. 

10 wks 3 days old - 10 pounds

He is such an amazing puppy. Very smart and extremely sociable. He is great with the children and loves Shelby, our 10-month old Goldendoodle. He is mild mannered and does not nip at all. Very important if you have small children. He just loves to give kisses. From day one, he has slept all night in his crate with no accidents and no whining. He does whine in his crate during the day because he wants to be with us. We have been pretty good about keeping him in the crate if we can't watch him. We know how important that is for potty training. He walks on a leash very well and loves to play outside. We have decided to send him for obedience training while we are on Spring Break. Because he is so smart, our trainer thinks that 13 weeks would be a great time to start. I will attach some photos.

May 1, 2008 Update on Chip:

Here is the official update on our Golden Cava-Doodle, Chip.

Chip is almost 5 months old and weighs 25 pounds. His coat is a short, soft curl. His color is a nice brown and very shiny. He is amazing and we love him dearly. From the moment we brought him home, he immediately fit right in to our family. Our Goldendoodle, Shelby , and Chip get along really well. They play together and snuggle all the time. Chip is very smart and eager to please. We sent him to a trainer and he responded quickly to the training. He is fully house broken and rings a bell to go outside. He is also very loyal and loves to be with the family. We have a lot of dogs in the neighborhood and he gets along with all dogs. He can be playing with the other dogs but as soon as one of us goes outside, he is quick to come and see us. It seems like he is checking in to see if we need anything. We also have a cat and he is very careful not to overstep his boundaries. He is curious about our cat but knows when he gets too close. He knows when enough is enough. He is extremely affectionate and loves to sit in our laps and snuggle. He is active but not too much. His energy level fits right in to a family with small kids. He loves to go for walks but does not require an excessive amount of exercise. He LOVES to fetch and play with toys. Because we already have another dog, he gets in a lot of playtime that way. It truly could not have worked out any better for us. He is the perfect addition to our clan. Thank you! I have attached some precious photos! -- Blair
