Below are a series of emails from Harlee Boy's new family, Bev and Ed.
Hi Linda,
This is when we first got into car at airport. Harlee was a little stiff here, but he loosened up well, bless his little heart. Just love him Linda! Again, Thank You for all your work and hours you have put into this litter. He is out sleeping on Eds lap right now. Cheerio, Bev.
Hi Linda,
Harlee is a remarkable puppy! On his first day he was leash broken, going up and down stairs carpeted and uncarpeted. Took him out on the patio of sunroom once and he zips out does his business and right back in. He is sitting while waiting for his meal. He would run to the sink when he was thirsty and jump up on cupboards. Highly unusual for his age. What a doll I have had many puppies but he ranks # 1 for catching for potty training, leash breaking. He goes over and nudges the bells to go out day five. My Vet. was very impressed with Neg. stool check and with what good shape the puppy is in and temperment. He goes into puppy play pen 3 to 4 times a day. Depending what I have to be doing, Harlee now goes and curls up dosan't make a sound. In seven days I have had two accidents and both were my fault. Temperament is outstanding, Harlee give Duffy our old Standard Schnauzer a run for his money.
Hi Linda,
Here is Harlee with Ed and Duffy in our sun porch off patio. I had no idea how much to give him so I mixed Nutro & Eagle Pack and let him eat as much as he wanted tonight. We went out and he did his business. No accidents yet! What marvelous temperament, he ate like a champ and takes right after Duffy's beard. Duffy thinks he is pretty cute. Not an accident in crate, or all the way home.
Hi Linda,
Harlee is 10 weeks old today. Accomplishments to date are: Leash broke right from the crate at airport. Just trotted right along with tail up high over his back, rings the bells in sun room when he wants to go out.The sit on command, just started working on the down yesterday.Runs to kitchen at lunch & dinner time and sits while waiting to be served or if thirsty also. Sits well on my grooming table and lets me use mini dremel to tip nails. I have a professional grooming tub as I have always groomed both my Std. Schnauzers. He went in tub and had his first bath as I wanted to get him accustomed to before too large. He was an absolute doll while bathing and the rinse. I also have a professional blower and blew him completely dry. Then he went to crate for an hour before I would let him outside. He took it like a champ. Duffy the 11 year old Sch. still hates his head and beard blown dry. Not Harlee didn't mind at all. He is unbelievable. I cleaned his ears, what a joy to not have to pluck ears. Harlee was 12 X 12 when he arrived he is now 14 X 14 from base of neck to tail. Just over 15 lbs. I have included a couple of photos of our boy! Thank You So Very Much for having such a wonderful breeding program and for the opportunity to get Harlee. You truly are a Professional Breeder and should be very proud
Linda,
Hello from Harlee and I. Harlee loves the snow, we are way below the norm this year. We just had 16 inches dumped on us, and Harlee is having a ball. This time Ed blew a figure 8 path for the dogs & I. So when I am out with them, I don't get the feeling like I am exercising in a penile institution. Although Harlee likes to make his own trails tee hee! Since we have had a lot of freezing rain this winter the roads are quite slippery. So Harlee Bear is now doing the treadmill for about 20 minutes, will work him up to a half hour. That way we can keep his energy level contained when raining or blizzard conditions. He is such a good boy. No problems with humping! He is a perfect gentlemen! I would not hesitate to ever get another male. Both Duffy and Harlee get a long really well! And that is saying a lot for two males one being an 11 year old Standard Schnauzer. Have A Great Day! Cheerio, Ed & Bev

Hi Linda,
Harlee catches ball, shakes, crawls, sit, sit stay, down, down stay, heels, come, and finishes going around to heel position. Walks through ladder rungs, goes through tunnel, He also plays soccer he is a riot. Catches a Frisbee. Not bad for 5 1/2 months. I started as when grandsons come want things that they can do with him. I am thinking of a tether ball in exercise area for his. I would love to get Agility equip. Would be great exercise for both of us.
Harlee is the Smartest dog I have ever had and easiest to house break and train. I have had German Shepherds whom I loved, one Rottwieler, Miniature Pinscher, Toy Poodle Cruse he was special also. Standard Schnauzers. They were all great dogs but Harlee is a SPECIAL DOG!

Hi Linda,
Harlee is having surgery this morning. He weighed 47.2 lbs. He is not fat, lanky at this stage. I started 2 feeding's a day last week, 2 1/2 cups cut him back instead of 3 cups twice a day. If he seems hungry will increase again. I will have to watch him.

Hi Linda,
Harlee had his little buddies here yesterday Christmas Eve for several hours, and he had a ball with the grandsons. They gave him a run for his money!
They certainly are people dogs. How they love kids, people, whatever passes by. But they are a breed that needs obedience training, exercise, walks and lots of love. He truly has brightened my life. I don't know what I would have done without him as he keeps me going. I have had a hard time slowing down over the last several months. Ed was so proud of this boy! I know he's watching him grow. Well that is enough of that! Just thought you might enjoy seeing our boy. What a lover he is, everybody loves Harlee!
Cheerio, Bev, Duffy, Harlee & Mickey.
Harlee also has a Therapy Service Dood page, HERE.
