Hi Linda,
I have attached a few photos of my pup, Toby. He is a little over 6 months old, and he currently weighs 29lbs, and his shoulders come up to about my knees (around 12-15 inches). As Linda said, my mother and sister each have a Golden CavaDoodle as well, and after my fiance and I spent a few days with them, we knew that we wanted to get one of this breed. So much so, that we had him flown out to us in Orlando, FL!
We brought Toby home in mid-March, and he captured our hearts from the beginning. He is such a sweetheart and we could not be happier to have him. He loves people, plays well with other dogs, very rarely barks (only 2-3 times in 4 months), doesn't shed very much, and he is as smart as a whip, which has made training very easy. Sometimes we think he is almost too smart! And the best part is that he is so adorable and loving, and he always seems to have a smile on his face.
My fiance and I were first-time dog owners, and while we have discovered that the process of successfully raising an obedient and happy puppy takes A LOT of work, we know that we are very lucky to have adopted such a well mannered and lovable pup. Toby is truly a beloved member of our family.
I have attached a few pictures that I hope will give you an idea of what Toby looks like. I've included a few in which he is standing up, and in one of them you will notice he is wearing a cone around his neck. Rest assured that this has nothing to do with trying to curb bad behavior - he got neutered earlier this month and the vet wanted to make sure that he would not mess with his stitches. The cone came off after a week and he's been enjoying life much more ever since!
Best Regards,
~Alan

Subject: Golden Cava Doodle Update - Toby
Hi Linda,
I am writing to give you a quick update on our Golden Cava-Doodle, Toby. He just turned 1 (in human years) a couple of weeks ago, and as you can see in one of the attached pictures, we threw him a birthday party! Don't worry, he didn't get any chocolate. Over Christmas, my wife and I took Toby home with us to my parents' house in North Texas, where he got to spend some time with his brother Max (owned by my mom Susan), and his half-sister Mia (owned by my sister Marie). They all got along splendidly and had lots of fun chasing each other around the house and romping around in the yard. Toby and Max both especially love to swim; so much so that they were playing in the pool in the last week of December!
Thanks again for helping us with such a wonderful addition to our little family - Toby's been a blessing to us and we can't imagine life without him.
Best,
~Alan S.
